Live Oak Waldorf School was founded in 1977 and now serves over 200 students from pre-kindergarten through Grade Eight. The school sits on the gentle southern slope of Mount Katherine in Placer County. Our beautiful forty-acre site in the Sierra foothills provides a peaceful yet stimulating environment for learning. With small classes, dedicated and experienced teachers, and the time-tested wisdom of the Waldorf curriculum, our school inspires a love of learning and a willingness to work.
Live Oak Waldorf School seeks to enroll students who will benefit from our unique educational program. Our tuition model strives to make our education accessible to families from a wide range of economic backgrounds. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion or national origin.
When the teacher and the parents work in partnership, the value of the education is greatly enhanced. Regular class meetings and parent-teacher conferences help parents and teachers work together. Lectures, workshops, and study groups are available for parents who wish to learn more about the school philosophy and educational methods.
Live Oak Waldorf School provides an on-site before and after school care program from 7:00-8:15 a.m. and from the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m.
