Music Together Classes-MUSIC TOGETHER® CLASSES IN AUBURN and NEVADA CITY
*New days, times, and locations!
Have you ever wondered what you can do to nurture the musical growth of your child, regardless of your own musical ability? Experience Music Together and find out how important—and how fun—your role can be! Our research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement.
WHEN/WHERE: Mixed-age classes (from birth to 5) are held in Auburn (near 49 and Palm Ave) on Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday mornings. Nevada City classes are on Tuesday and Wednesday moenings, and we also have classes in Granite Bay on Thursday and Friday mornings.
MORE INFO: All of our classes build on your child’s natural enthusiasm for music and movement. Come share 45 minutes of music play, dancing, singing, chants, and other fun. The goals of the program include helping your family be more musical and helping your child learn to sing in tune and keep a beat. (If you struggle in these areas, the class will help you, too!) Along with the class, you’ll receive two copies of a CD with more than 20 creative songs and chants, a beautifully illustrated songbook, and a parent guide with information on the theory behind the program.
Join us for Spring! Our 10-week Spring 2012 session begins April 9. The Auburn classes are taught by Registered Music Together teachers, Beth Gillogly (a first grade parent), Mandee Rice (a former Live Oak parent). To learn more, read parent testimonials, or to register now, visit www.sierrafoothillsmt.com or call Beth at 530-889-9085.

Shared Abundance Organic Farm CSA- Several LOWS community members are participating in a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) with Shared Abundance Organic Farm. Now that spring is here and everything is growing we would like to expand our group. Ruthanne Jahoda (teacher to the first graduating class of LOWS) sends deliveries to our campus every Wednesday before 12:45 (in time for preschool and kindergarten pick-up). If you join you will simply bring your check on Tuesday or Wednesday morning and place it in the group envelope (current drop off is in Lavender Kindergarten, but we can accommodate other needs). Please read the following description of Shared Abundance Organic Farm. You will see that the prices are more than reasonable and the quality of the produce is heavenly. If you are interested in joining the Shared Abundance Organic Farm CSA, please contact Ruthanne Jahoda at rajsbga@earthlink.net, or 530-887-1530. Shared Abundance Organic Farm offers a local delivery of fresh certified organic food weekly on Wednesdays. We send an email by Monday morning, letting you know what will be harvested for that coming Wednesday. We have small, medium and large bags to offer. Small size is $9.50, Medium is $18.00, and large is $30.00. You will get something of everything we are harvesting in proportion to your bag size. If you would like extra of an item you would indicate that on the return email. We will drop food only for those who return the email, unless you specify you would like a weekly drop all month or all season. It is necessary to pay the morning of delivery. We must have an email back by Tuesday mid-day so we know how much to harvest. We appreciate your interest in fresh, organic, local food.
