Live Oak Waldorf School is currently accepting applications for the following positions:

First Grade Teacher
Live Oak is pleased to announce that it is seeking a first grade teacher for its growing rural campus beginning the 2016/17 school year.

Purpose and Scope of Job: The grades class teacher is responsible for planning the daily, weekly and block rhythms of the year. These plans are developed in accordance with the principles of Waldorf pedagogy and in light of the needs of the class. The grades class teacher is also responsible for deepening his/her understanding of Anthroposophy, child development and seeking out new materials for his/her teaching.

The ideal candidate will have at least an undergraduate degree and completed Waldorf teacher training.

Situated in beautiful, sunny Northern California, Live Oak Waldorf School is fully accredited by AWSNA, serving 150 students from Nursery through Eighth Grade. We offer many rich programs, including Spanish, Eurythmy, Movement Education, Music (Recorder, Strings, Band, Ensemble), Handwork, and Woodwork. Our beautiful campus sits on forty acres at the foot of Mount Katherine and is home to a biodynamic community garden, the first USA Demeter certified Apiary and many magical hiking trails. We have an experienced, dedicated faculty who share a strong commitment to mentoring and working out of Anthroposophy.

Lead Continuing Caretaker
Live Oak Waldorf School  is seeking a loving and nurturing person to join our Continuing Care team in our Early Childhood Village. This position is caring for Kindergarten and Pre-school aged children M-F 12:30 - 6:00 p.m. with schedule varying depending on demand. A minimum of six (6) early childhood credits is required. Full tuition remission is offered with this position.
