First Grade Teacher
Live Oak is pleased to announce that it is seeking a first grade teacher for its growing rural campus beginning the 2017/18 school year.

Purpose and Scope of Job: The grades class teacher is responsible for planning the daily, weekly and block rhythms of the year. These plans are developed in accordance with the principles of Waldorf pedagogy and in light of the needs of the class. The grades class teacher is also responsible for deepening his/her understanding of Anthroposophy, child development and seeking out new materials for his/her teaching.

The ideal candidate will have at least an undergraduate degree and completed Waldorf teacher training.

Situated in beautiful, sunny Northern California, Live Oak Waldorf School is fully accredited by AWSNA, serving 150 students from Nursery through Eighth Grade. We offer many rich programs, including Spanish, Eurythmy, Movement Education, Music (Recorder, Strings, Band, Ensemble), Handwork, and Woodwork. Our beautiful campus sits on forty acres at the foot of Mount Katherine and is home to a biodynamic community garden, the first USA Demeter certified Apiary and many magical hiking trails. Spanish Teacher

Preschool Assitant

Live Oak Waldorf School located in Meadow Vista California is seeking a dedicated, energetic, creative and prepared professional to join our teaching team working with the preschool age child. 

Job Requirements:
Interest in the Waldorf approach to education
Love of children
Open to learning
A cooperative classroom team player
Able to respond willingly and efficiently to direction
Ability to have a quiet classroom presence
Self motivated on the job 
Ability to work outdoors in all weather for an extended period of time
Qualifications include the general requirements above plus:

-12 Early Childhood units
-6 months working in a licensed early childhood facility preferred

Preferred Experience and Education – Experience in a Waldorf classroom or similar setting.

All Faculty and staff must have current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain, provide proof of non-active TB, complete a Health Screening by a licensed physician, and complete a fingerprinting LiveScan 

Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience. Full tuition remission available.

Continuing Caretaker
Live Oak Waldorf School  is seeking a loving and nurturing person to join our Continuing Care team in our Early Childhood Village. This position is caring for Kindergarten and Pre-school aged children M-F 12:30 - 6:00 p.m. with schedule varying depending on demand. A minimum of six (6) early childhood credits is required.
