The 8th grade graduation was held at the Beda House in Meadow Vista Saturday, June 6. The picture above was taken by Casey Spencer Friday evening at the 8th Grade Graduation Party held at the Winchester Country Club. It has been an exciting weekend with much heartfelt appreciation to Matt Alsop, the parents of this great class, and the faculty that has held them for the last 8 to 10 years.

On behalf of the 8th grade, Matt and the College of Teachers we thank the parents and students of the 7th grade class who served, set up, cleaned up and staffed both of the Friday night party and the graduation on Saturday..

We look forward to following this class as they journey into future and join our Live Oak Waldorf Alumni. Community.

The 4th Grade class at Live Oak is offering a relaxing, delicious, friendly and fun night out at the home of Tomi Sue and Roy Cunningham in beautiful Meadow Vista.

Tables laden with decadent desserts, wines of your choice, music to swoon by and of course, the famed bocce ball court under the stars are all yours for the evening.

Referral Fee

We are offering a referral fee of $500 ($100 for a preschool family) to anyone that refers a family to Live Oak between 2/8 and 6/15/09. The family must actually register with Live Oak in order to be eligible. Payment will only be made once the family pays their non-reimbursable fees.

Children's Store News

The store board is pleased to announce that we will be donating another $3,000. to the school from our spring sales.

This will bring our total donation for the 2008/2009 school year to $7,000. It would not be possible without each and every one of you who shopped with us this year!

We are also sadly saying goodbye to several of our long time volunteers - Susan Hixson, Liz Diede, Andrea Weeks and Hannah Schwartz - Please tell them thank you for their dedication to the store and school if you should happen to see them.

Hours until the end of school

Tue & Wed- 1:30 to 3:00 (may open earlier, call to confirm)

Thurs-8:30 to 1:00, Friday-9:00 to 11:00

We will be closed Friday June 5th, last day of school. The store will reopen late June after we complete inventory. Summer hours will be posted after June 15th and sent out in an email to the school.

Volunteers needed for the 2009/2010 school year. Call if interested, we have a variety of positions to be filled.
