Kindergarten children love to "work:" sweeping, cleaning, beautifying their environment, gardening, washing, cooking, singing, speaking, making. The Waldorf Kindergarten Teacher involves the children in activities in which the teacher is the model for the child, in meaningful movements, in purposeful use of language, and in the cultivation of beauty. In this atmosphere of beauty and rhythm, the teacher works to cultivate the healthy development of the child and their will. Many children come to Live Oak as four-year-olds and stay in the kindergarten for two years.
