Grades Teacher
Live Oak is pleased to announce that it is seeking a grades teacher for its growing rural campus beginning the 2018/19 school year.

Purpose and Scope of Job: The grades class teacher is responsible for planning the daily, weekly and block rhythms of the year. These plans are developed in accordance with the principles of Waldorf pedagogy and in light of the needs of the class. The grades class teacher is also responsible for deepening his/her understanding of Anthroposophy, child development and seeking out new materials for his/her teaching.

The ideal candidate will have at least an undergraduate degree and completed Waldorf teacher training.

Situated in beautiful, sunny Northern California, Live Oak Waldorf School is fully accredited by AWSNA, serving 150 students from Nursery through Eighth Grade. We offer many rich programs, including Spanish, Eurythmy, Movement Education, Music (Recorder, Strings, Band, Ensemble), Handwork, and Woodwork. Our beautiful campus sits on forty acres at the foot of Mount Katherine and is home to a biodynamic community garden, the first USA Demeter certified Apiary and many magical hiking trails. We have an experienced, dedicated faculty who share a strong commitment to mentoring and working out of Anthroposophy.

Parent-Child Teacher
Live Oak Waldorf School is looking for an enthusiastic, loving teacher who will be responsible for creating and maintaining a beautiful and nurturing Waldorf environment for our youngest students and their parents. The position will be best filled by a teacher who has a warm, congenial manner with parents and can successfully manage a group of children in an imaginative way. Working independently with guidance will be necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered, candidates must have completed a BA Degree, and the Waldorf Teacher Training program. 12 Early Childhood Education units are preferred. All state required vaccines must be current as well as having current TB test results. Candidate must also be CPR certified. Candidate must undergo Live Scan (fingerprinting) and a background check prior to being hired.

Continuing Care Staff
Live Oak Waldorf School is seeking a loving and nurturing person to join our Continuing Care team in our Early Childhood Village. This position is caring for Kindergarten and Pre-school aged children M-F 12:30 - 6:00 p.m. with schedule varying depending on demand. A minimum of six (6) early childhood credits is required.

Homeschool Outdoor Kindergarten Teacher
Live Oak Waldorf School is looking for an enthusiastic, loving teacher to lead a group of 12 kindergarten age students in an outdoor Waldorf experience on our beautiful 40-acre campus. The class meets twice a week outdoors in all weather. The focus is on nature and being outdoors on our lovely campus, on the hillsides and in our organic gardens. Knowledge of local wildlife and plants is a plus.
